Spanish police have arrested five alleged members of the Spanish separatist movement ETA.

The five are suspected of bombing a police station in the autonomous Basque country in September 2008, in which 10 people were injured.

They are also suspected of involvement in the murder of a Spanish army officer.

The suspects were rounded up in the early hours of the morning on the border of the Basque provinces of Biscay and Guipúzcoa.

Various houses have been raided near Bilbao and San Sebastián.
