A radical Islamic US blogsite revolutionmuslim.com is angry about the 200th episode of South Park in which the prophet Muhammad is depicted in a bear suit. The blog suggests that the makers will end up like Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, who was killed by a radical Muslim in 2004.
The Dutch secret service (AIVD) is concerned about the threats levelled against South Park, the satirical American cartoon series. The site also contains pictures of other prominent Dutch critics of Islam, such as former MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the leader of the Freedom Party Geert Wilders.
Ms Hirsi Ali wrote the script for a 10-minute film Submission released in 2004. Directed by Theo Van Gogh, it deals with the topic of violence against women in some Islamic societies. Mr Wilders released a 17-minute anti-Islam 17-minute short film in 2008, claiming that the Qur’an incites Muslims to commit acts of violence.
Blog threat shows photo of Van Gogh with slit throat
The threats against Matt Stone and Trey Parker - the creators of the popular animated comedy series – appeared on the Islamic site alongside a photo of the dead body of Theo Van Gogh - a knife in the his chest and his throat slit open.
Revolutionmuslim.com also provides the New York address for TV network Comedy Central which airs South Park and it provides the addesses for Parker and Stone's Los Angeles production company of Mr Parker and Mr Stone. The US Islamic site also has a link to an article featuring the estate where the two animators live.
The website also shows a video featuring a fiery sermon from Anwar Al-awlaki, a US Islamic leader with alleged terrorist links currently wanted and believed to be hiding in Yemen. The video is cut with images of the Stone and Parker themselves, as well as Theo van Gogh, Geert Wilders and the writer Salman Rushdie, who prompted a fatwa from Iran because of his depiction of the Prophet Mu7hammad in his novel The Satanic Verses.
The author of the post said this publication of addresses was not intended in itself as a threat to the South Park creators, but to give people the opportunity to protest.
The character of Muhammad first appeared in an episode entitled "Cartoon Wars" in 2006, but brought back in the recently aired 200th episode. The anniversary broadcast featured the founders of all major world religions.
CNN's Anderson Cooper talks to author Ayaan Hirsi Ali about an Islamic website's warning to the "South Park" creators.

Come on Obama now is the time to show some leadership and guts.
Go out and get these evil bast*rds now!
Jesus is depicted and made fun of on hundreds of shows such as South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy etc but us Christians don't get offended or make a fuss, but Muslims KILL people for drawing Muhammad.. absolutely ridiculous and stupid religion.
Everyone should just ignore the idiots who try to make Islam evil. Osama and all his henchmen have taken a legitimate religion and made everyone the world over hate it. If it was Christianity we were talking about, Al Queda and such would be the religious equivelent to the AntiChrist.
All of these idiots who choose to kill themselves along with other people? They're promised Valhalla? I have a feeling Mohammed looks at them, waits for them to get to him, kicks them in the nuts, and sends them off to never never land.
If there's any truth in religion, and I find no fault in any religion around the world, Mohammed would do that, since the people who do the terrorist acts aren't religious, they're selfish, and that's a sin in any religion. There is no such thing as a terrorist who isn't selfish. They're putting themself before anyone else. They want the pretend Valhalla, they won't let anyone stand in their way. What does the Koran say about selfishness?
Ooops, the terrorist organizations change the religion so selfishness isn't a sin....I guess the people who practice the religion should look at their book, rather than the idiots interpreting it..
It is nothing less than remarkable than for violent and murderous extremists of any sort, comedy in any way, shape, or form, is considered to be the most dangerous means of rebellion and defence. For people who embrace death as martyrdom, a provocational cartoon renders life intolerable. Let these extremists come up with their own cartoon shows and stand-up comics and let the contests begin for "hearts and minds", instead of violence and killing!!
What kind of nut job religion promotes threats of violence if you don't believe what they do? these religious radicals in our world are evil, they are not good or normal people, that is quite obvious. The authors of these cartoons and anyone who sees religion, any religion, a different way than it's mentally unstable followers have just as much right to their views, opinion and beliefs as these religious nuts who believe in these fantasy "Gods" and saviors. It is all garbage these religious radicals believe in and they should be jailed for their threats, enough is enough!
Muslim threats against those who "disrespect" Mohammed are one of the first steps in Da'wah= Muslim proselytization to convert to Islam. Those who refrain from free expression because of these death threats are unknowingly participating in the religion of Islam.
These threats, so freely given by Muslims, are actually threats to our civil rights, and every perpetrator must be tracked down and prosecuted, and/or stripped of their legal residency or citizenship status and barred from our free country forever. Threats to our freedoms must not be tolerated. But such an order coming from our muslim-loving President Obama is highly unlikely.
The sane people of the world should flood the media with cartoons of Mohammed; the more the better.
The psychopathic, violent jihadists will have a more difficult time targeting so many people.....much harder than going after a few such as Theo Van Gogh.
Great idea, I like it. Let's see these weak minded cowards that hide behind their computers threaten ALL of us.
lol this episode airs in the Netherlands on the 30th of April. I suggest the radical Islamist US wait until then so at least we know what we're getting in for. as I wouldn't even dare to imply that anyone might be tempted to view this one (bad pirates!) illegally before the release date lol
USA needs to investigate and deport the radicals out of USA, they have no business on USA soil.
We try and do that but they are cowards and they hide. Jail is a good idea too, let them sit there and rot in a cage where they belong, deportation just sets them free to make more threats from somewhere else, lock 'em up! what they are doing making terrorist threats online is a federal crime in America and other countries need to make it a crime too.
I like your idea better, lock em up. And lock them up in the toughest prison in USA for the rest of their lives.
