Wintry weather has caused problems for travellers in parts of Europe.
In France dozens of flights were cancelled on Thursday evening, forcing hundreds of passengers to spend the night at Charles de Gaulle Airport. The French air traffic controllers have called on airlines to scrap a third of their flights.
Heavy snow has also led to delays in northern France with roads closed to lorries and school buses remaining in the garages. In Belgium train services had to be cancelled.
In Great Britain, Luton and Gatwick airports are closed. Twenty centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the southern and eastern England today.
