Security scare causes delay at New York airport

Published on 17 January 2010 - 6:13pm
More about:

In the United States, thousands of passengers at New York's Kennedy Airport have faced major delays after a security scare. A passenger who flew in from Florida exited using a staff door and afterwards could not be found.

Because of the incident, all passengers using the terminal had to leave the building and come through security checks once again. A similar incident at the beginning of this month led to chaos at Newark Airport near New York.

Then, thousands of passengers were forced to spend the night at the airport after a Chinese student slipped through the security barrier to give his departing girlfriend a final goodbye kiss.
