The United Nations Security Council has condemned the missile tests carried out by the North Korean government on Saturday.

The council says the tests jeopardise regional and international security. Defying Security Council resolutions, North Korea launched seven missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan. In May, the North Korean government carried out a nuclear test which led to tougher sanctions by the UN.
