Ireen Wüst, the Dutch allround speed ice skater, has qualified for a second race at the 2010 Winter Olympics, to be held in the Canadian city of Vancouver.
After winning the 1500 metres at the qualifying rounds being held in the Dutch town of Heerenveen, she went on to be the fastest skater in the 3000 metres. She will now compete in both distances in Vancouver.
In the men's skating competitions, Stefan Groothuis, Simon Kuipers and Mark Tuitert have all earned a place in the Winter Olympics 1000 metres race.
