Football club SC Heerenveen has sacked its Norwegian coach Trond Sollied. He is the first coach of the season to be fired in the premier league.
Before the summer break, Heerenveen won the Dutch KNVB Cup under Sollied's guidance, the first big victory in the club's history.
However the competition for the club from the northern province of Drenthe began badly this season. It is currently in 15th place after only five rounds.
On Sunday, Heerenveen lost 2-0 to NAC Breda. Head of training Jan de Jonge will take Sollied's place.
