Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima have formally sought an injunction against the AP press agency over the publication of pictures taken last month during their holiday in Argentina. They are demanding a 25,000 to 250,000 euro fine for every royal ski vacation photo that the agency makes public.
The demand was heard during summary proceedings before the Amsterdam court. AP recently broke an agreement not to distribute pictures of the princely couple's holiday. The court will pronounce verdict in two weeks.
Press agencies are usually granted an informal photo shoot with the royals at the beginning of their holiday, on condition that they are left alone and not photographed during the remainder of the holiday.
