Rowdy Hague fans get stadium ban

Published on 21 January 2010 - 12:26pm
More about:

The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has imposed a nine-month stadium ban on 26 supporters of ADO The Hague. They were found guilty of throwing objects at the referee and his assistants during a home match against PSV Eindhoven.

The duel was halted by the referee 20 minutes before the whistle went because of offensive chants by the ADO side. At the time, the Hague club was at a 0-4 disadvantage, and two ADO players had been given a red card.

The stadium ban for the 26 fans begins this week. KNVB did not impose any sanctions on the club, because it cooperated in identifying the culprits.
