Kim Jong-il, the Supreme leader of North Korea, has ordered the country's officials to begin a campaign to 'restyle' its inhabitants.
Men are being told to keep their hair short and women to keep it rolled up. The leader has also ordered that women should not wear skirts above the knee, tight trousers, flared trousers or any garment that reveals the body's contours. The orders are to be enforced by the Central Youth Union Committee, a state body.
Kim Jong-il is reported to have taken this action after being shocked by the Western hairstyle of a female colleague.

Well they can always use a weave , the effects are much more subtle. hehe. But I agree with you.
I can`t believe this has turn into such a global measure. Not so long ago, people wore dreads and fancy wigs at public parades. Almost all over the world. And this didn`t seem to harm anyone. Just some fashion social encounter event. Looks like that "Western female" really cut across type and made someone take measures. I wonder how locals deal with it. Discipline is good for every nation, after all.
