Amnesty International says Israel systematically makes it difficult for Palestinians in the West Bank to get enough water. An Amnesty report concludes that 80 percent of water sourced in the West Bank goes to Jewish settlements there.
The human rights group says the average Israeli citizen has access to 300 litres of water per day, while the average Palestinian has to make do with just 70 litres. Amnesty also says it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain permits from the Israeli authorities to dig wells.
Israel has condemned the Amnesty report as untrue and biased.
