Russia and China have, as expected, closed business deals worth 5.5 billion euros during the first day of a three-day visit by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to China.
The agreements are chiefly concerned with energy. However, the two countries are also taking the chance to increase bilateral ties in other areas and to align their diplomatic efforts; in particular, with regard to the nuclear activities of Iran and North Korea.
