PSV top of the Dutch Premier League

PSV Eindhoven is at the top of the Premier League after Fc Twente again failed to collect points.

 

The team, nicknamed the Tukkers, could only manage a 0-0 draw against Groningen. The match was a virtual repeat of last week's disappointing showing against Fc Utrecht.
 

Feyenoord also failed to collect all three points; the club was held to a 1-1 all draw against VVV in Venlo. Sparta Rotterdam drew 0-0 against ADO Den Haag. In today's early kick-off, Amsterdam Ajax managed a 1-0 victory against AZ.

At the lower end of the premier league, Heracles Almelo lost 2-1 at home to Vitesse. FC Utrecht lost 2-1 to Roda JC in Kerkrade. In the northern province of Friesland, Heerenveen won 4-2 against Willem II from Tilburg. At the very bottom of the league, RKC lost at home in Waalwijk 1-0 to NAC Breda.

2. FC Twente - 49
3. Ajax - 42
4. Feyenoord - 38

Relegation zone:
16. ADO Den Haag - 15 points
17. Willem II - 14
18. RKC - 12
