Wow, I'm impressed! I never thought I’d live to see animals be given any political voice. I am so glad someone has the courage to speak up for our little friends. Let's face it: if we don’t, then who will?
I realize humanity has urgent problems of its own, but that does not lessen the plight of animals. As humans, we should be revolted at the living conditions and the unspeakable pain we inflict on them through (often inhumane) slaughtering. Animals are sentient beings and as such, they deserve our love and respect.
I wish you the very best with your plans, Ms. Marianne Thieme. And who knows, maybe one day we'll look down on animal butchery the way we now condemn human slavery.
