A 67-year-old British pilot has been fined 2,000 euros for making an emergency landing in an old fighter jet at a disused military base in the Dutch province of Twente.
Although the man is a licensed pilot, he did not have a licence for the jet, a Lockheed T33. A German student pilot was also in the old military jet. A technical malfunction forced the British pilot to make the emergency landing. No one was injured.
