A massive mudslide has buried a small village in northeastern Peru, killing at least 20 people and leaving 25 others missing.
A local official in the Huánuco region says at least 50 people were injured in the mudslide. Another official said mud and rocks buried an entire village and its 400 inhabitants.
The avalanche came after days of heavy rainfall. Another mudslide in northeastern Peru left five people dead earlier this week.
