Paris press conference on Air France crash

Published on 17 June 2009 - 11:19am
More about:

A press conference in Paris has heard that over 400 pieces of wreckage from the Air France plane which crashed in the Atlantic Ocean two weeks ago have been recovered.

No new information has come to light about what caused the disaster in which 228 people died. The only thing that is almost certain is that the Airbus's speedometers were faulty, but investigators say it remains unclear whether this actually caused the crash. So far, the remains of 50 people who were on board the aircraft have been recovered.
