French police arrested 32 people on Sunday and Monday in connection with a spectacular jewellery heist in Paris in December 2008.
Police also recovered some of the jewellery stolen in the raid on the famous Harry Winston jewellers, located near the Champs-Elysées. A gang of four armed men made off with over 85 million euros worth of jewellery in the daring raid.
The arrests came after Paris investigators learned that a fence was attempting to sell some of the stolen gems. The suspects, whose ages range between 22 and 67, include a number of known criminals and a security guard working for the exclusive jewellers.
