At least three Palestinian men have been killed in an Israeli air strike on a tunnel in the Gaza Strip used for smuggling. Six others were injured in the attack near Rafah. One man is still missing.
The Israeli air force says the strike was a reprisal for a Palestinian mortar attack on Monday.
There is an extensive network of tunnels between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, used for bringing food and fuel into Gaza to circumvent the blockade by Israeli. The tunnels are also used to smuggle weapons.
Both Israel and Egypt have tried to put an end to the smuggling but there are still hundreds of tunnels in use.
