Fresh violence across Pakistan has claimed 24 victims.
Sixteen people were killed in the northwestern town of Mohmand, when a coach that was taking them to a wedding hit a landmine. A suicide attack near an air base in the northwestern town of Kamra killed eight people. A car bomb in the northwestern city of Peshawar injured 15 people, two of them seriously, but claimed no lives. The country has seen an upsurge in violence since the army recently launched a major ground offensive against al-Qaeda and Taliban militants in the northwestern region of South Waziristan.
