At least 33 people have been killed and nearly 60 injured in a suicide car bombing at a busy intersection in a village near the town of Kohat in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province. The explosion destroyed a hotel and dozens of shops.
An extremist Sunni group with links to the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group says the bombing is in revenge for the killing of a prominent Sunni cleric in June.
The inhabitants of the neighbourhood targetted are said to be members of the Shiite minority.
