At a summit in Vienna, the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has decided it will maintain current production levels.
At present, OPEC has a production quota of 24.8 million barrels a day. The oil price is more than 82 US dollars per barrel. At the end of 2008, OPEC lowered production by four million barrels a day to boost falling prices.
