US President Barack Obama will visit Indonesia and Australia next month.

Mr Obama spent part of his youth in the Indonesian capital Jakarta and, according to the White House, is looking forward to pay a visit to the city. The US president has been invited by Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

In Australia, Mr Obama will meet with Prime Minster Kevin Rudd. The two government leaders have established a good relationship during earlier meetings.
