Norway’s Hushovd wins sixth Tour stage

The Norwegian Thor Hushovd has won the sixth stage of the Tour de France. After a journey of 181 kilometres through Spain, Hushovd was the first to cross the finishing line in Barcelona in the mass sprint.

Spanish cyclists Oscar Freire and José Joaquin Rojas placed second and third respectively. Switzerland’s Fabio Cancellara retained the overall leader’s yellow jersey.
