Nigeria wins place in Africa Cup semi-final

Published on 26 January 2010 - 10:32am
More about:

Nigeria has placed itself in the semi-final of the Africa Cup in Angola.

The match against Zambia ended in a goalless draw. In spite of Zambia being the stronger team during play, Nigeria won 5-4 on penalties.

Nigeria is playing against Ghana on Thursday for a place in the final. The other semi-final is between Algeria and last year’s cup winner Egypt. Egypt beat Cameroon 3-1 in extra time earlier on Monday.
