At the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen, representatives of organisations including the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace and Oxfam Novib occupied the conference halls at the Bella Centre in protest at the deadlock in the negotiations.
The organisations were also protesting against the fact that many representatives and advisers have been refused entry to the conference centre.
World leaders are currently arriving in Copenhagen in growing numbers. On Wednesday evening Yvo de Boer, head of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said the coming 24 hours would be crucial. Little progress has been made in the talks over the past few days.
