A notoriously timid predator, the Sundaland clouded leopard has been caught on film for the first time.
The animal lives in Borneo and has been filmed in the nature reserve Dermakot in the Malaysian part of Borneo. The scientists who filmed the big cat say that remarkably enough, it showed no fear.
The Sundaland clouded leopard was only identified as a distinct species a few years ago. Little is known about it due to its infrequent appearances. It is considered an endangered species. The big cat is the largest predator in Borneo.
