Australian vaccine maker CSL has developed a vaccine that gives children sufficient protection against swine flu after a single jab. The news appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Up until the present, health authorities have recommended having children vaccinated twice to guarantee full protection against H1N1. Doctors tested the new vaccine on a group of children between six months and nine years old. In 92 percent of the cases, a single dose of 15 micrograms produced antibodies against swine flu.
