NATO should forge closer ties with China, India, Pakistan and Russia.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen told a security conference in Munich that the organisation should ask these four countries for advice on how to tackle terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
He also pointed out that not just terrorism but also computer crime, piracy, the spread of nuclear weapons and climate change form a threat and require more cooperation with these countries.
