The vast majority of Dutch expats has a working partner.
A survey conducted by Radio Netherlands Worldwide among nearly 900 Dutch citizens living abroad shows that 78 percent of them are double-income couples. The results of the survey were announced today in a new programme called Expat On Air. Although many double-income couples earn the same money, most of them nonetheless say that being a couple means making career sacrifices. Many Dutch expats say it's regrettable that part-time work is often less available abroad.
