Two-thirds of Dutch expats approve of body scans as an effective means to counter terrorism.
According to a survey conducted by Radio Netherlands Worldwide among 500 expats and emigrants, two-thirds regard Schiphol as a safe airport, despite the failed attempt to bomb a US airliner on Christmas Day. Most respondents do, however, favour tighter security measures, including body scans. Around 90 percent of Dutch expats say they won't change their travelling habits after the failed bombing or visit the Netherlands less. At the same time, a fourth of those who usually travel within Europe are planning to take the train more often.
