Morocco's security services have arrested 24 members of a suspected terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda. They are thought to have had contact with other militant networks in Sweden, Belgium, Syria and Iraq.
They are said to have recruited people to take part in suicide attacks in Iraq and to join al-Qaeda groups in Afghanistan and Somalia. The Moroccan authorities say the suspects were also planning attacks in Morocco itself and had made contact with al-Qaeda bomb makers.
