Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is in the Netherlands for a two-day visit.
The African leader has met Development Minister Bert Koenders. On Monday, he will meet Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen to discuss a number of issues including human rights and democracy in Zimbabwe. Mr Tsvangirai is expected to ask the Netherlands for financial support. According to the United Nations, Zimbabwe needs at least half a billion euros to prevent starvation among six million of its citizens.
After the Netherlands, the Zimbabwean prime minister will travel on to the United Kingdom, France and the United States.
