More aid workers abducted in Darfur

Published on 23 October 2009 - 12:57pm
More about:

Another two aid workers have been kidnapped in the Sudanese region of Darfur. The two workers, both of them Sudanese, work for the Gadhafi Foundation, an aid organisation led by the son of Libya's leader Muamar Gadhafi.

Only hours before, a Frenchman working for the International Red Cross was abducted near the provincial capital Geneina. The authorities in Khartoum say the man is in good health and expect that he will be released soon.
