A new audiotape recorded by Osama bin Laden has been posted on a website hosted by al-Qaeda sympathisers.

On the tape, the leader of the terrorist network criticises the close ties between Israel and the United States. The message from Osama bin Laden comes just days after the commemoration of the 9/11 attacks. Over the past few years, it has become traditional for the al-Qaeda leader to release sound or video recordings at this time of the year.

The most recent message from Osama bin Laden was published in June. In it, he lashed out at US President Barack Obama, who allegedly has sown 'hatred and revenge' in the Muslim world.
