Zimbabwean police have arrested Roy Bennett, one of the leaders of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change. He has been indicted on terrorism charges.

He was picked up earlier this year on similar charges but was released on bail after a month following a Supreme Court ruling. His present arrest is a formality as, under Zimbabwean law, defendants have to be taken into custody. He will have to make a new application to the High Court for bail.
