During a large-scale operation against drug abuse in the Dutch town of Maastricht police have arrested 12 people.
Around 100 police officers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France raided a phone shop and a cafe. Police seized an unspecified amount of money and drugs.
The two houses had been under police surveillance for some time. The municipality is to decide shortly whether the two premises will have to close. Neighbours have been complaining for some time about drug-related trouble and crime in the area.
