A 61-year-old Frenchwoman has survived 11 days without food in the Spanish Pyrenees. The woman got lost at the end of June during a walk in the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park.

Rescue workers searched with helicopters and dogs until they located her, sitting at the foot of a gorge. She had spread a red T-shirt on the ground to attract attention. She is now in a hospital in Spain.

She said she that although had eaten nothing for 11 days, she hadn’t felt hungry.
