Local council to build windmill on roof

Published on 15 July 2009 - 8:06pm
More about:

When the summer is over, the local council in the central Dutch town of Huizen plans to build a windmill on the roof of the council building. It will be a wind turbine with a diameter of two meters.

The council wants to set a good example to local residents with regard to sustainability and energy saving.

Although the turbine is expected to make little noise, the council has asked those living in the immediate area to let it know what they think of the windmill when it is finished.
