One world, 24 hours, 6 billion perspectives. Life in a Day is a global experiment to document a single day on earth. On Saturday 24 July, people from all over the world have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of their lives on camera.
The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into a documentary by film director Kevin McDonald. It is to be the first user generated feature film in history. Life in A Day will premiere at next year’s Sundance Film Festival in the US.
Everybody is invited to take part. It doesn’t matter whether you send in a short or a long film, as long as it says something about your day, as long as it gives 'a glimpse of your day’, as the initiators of the project put it. The quality doesn’t need to be professional. If you don’t have a camera, you may use your mobile phone. Any language may be spoken.
Further information on Life in a Day can be found on the YouTube page of the project, where you can also upload your contribution.
To make sure people who cannot afford a camera can also take part, the organisation Against All Odds Productions is distributing cameras in developing countries.
