A liberal Dutch mosque in Amsterdam that faced financial problems earlier this month can stay open.
Housing association Alliantie, which owns the premises in which the mosque is housed, threatened to evict the mosque earlier this month because it had over 50,000 euros in rent arrears. Now Alliantie says the arrears have been paid.
The mosque, better know as the Poldermoskee in the Netherlands, differs from other Dutch mosques because Dutch is the only spoken language and because men and women are allowed to pray together.
