A group of medical workers in New York have taken legal action to halt a large swine flu inoculation drive across the United States.
The group of doctors, nurses and other medical staff claims that the H1N1 vaccine has not been properly tested for safety and efficacy. The National Institutes of Health say trials conducted in August show that a single dose is well tolerated and significantly boosts immunity. In another case, four New York nurses are seeking a ban on the mandatory immunisation of all health care workers.
