The American actor David Carradine has been found dead in a hotel room in the Thai capital Bangkok. He was 72. It is rumoured that he committed suicide.

Carradine, who achieved worldwide fame in the 1970s for his leading role in the television series Kung Fu, was in Bangkok for the shooting of a new film.
