Radovan Karadzic has boycotted his trial at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for the second day running. In doing so, the former Bosnian president ignored urgent calls by the tribunal judges to attend.
On Monday, the tribunal adjourned almost as soon as the hearing began when it emerged that Mr Karadzic would not be turning up.
Mr Karadzic, who is conducting his own defence, says he has had too little time to prepare the case.
It is unclear how the trial will proceed. The court can either appoint a lawyer for Mr Karadzic or it can continue in his absence. The beginning of the trial could also be postponed.
Today the tribunal read out the indictments against Mr Karadzic. He will receive a written report of the proceedings.
