Just a draw for Premier League leader

Published on 17 January 2010 - 7:38pm
More about:

FC Twente currently at the top of the Dutch Premier League could only manage a 0-0 draw playing away against FC Utrech on Sunday.

The Amsterdam club, Ajax, also played away, drawing 1-1 with NAC in Breda. Ellery Cairo scored for NAC 20 minutes into the first half and Rasmus Lindgren equalised shortly before half-time.

Finally, NEC playing at home in Nijmegen won 2-1 from Vitesse. Today's matches were the last games of the season that were postponed because of the recent severe winter weather.

Two games still have to be played: Groningen versus Heerenveen and Roda JC versus PSV. If the club wins from Roda on Tuesday, PSV will replace FC Twente as Premier League leader.
