Judge rejects Geert Wilders' submission

Published on 13 January 2010 - 10:35pm
More about:

An Amsterdam court has rejected submissions by far-right MP Geert Wilders that one of the charges against him should be dropped.

The Freedom Party (PVV) leader's lawyer argued that he had only criticised Islam and not its adherents, and that the charge of insulting Muslims as a group should not stand. He is also facing counts of inciting hatred and discrimination towards Muslims.

However, the judge said the indictment only put into practice an earlier court ruling that Mr Wilders should stand trial and that the defence had not put forward any new evidence to overturn that ruling. The trial is scheduled to begin next week.

To think that my father went overseas in the last great war to fight to free fortress Europe from the Nazis only to have those very freedoms he fought for dwindling away to the dictates of Political Islam, the new Nazis to invade Europe.

Europeans ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. How blind can the leaders in Europe be, particularly the Netherlands, that they will persecute the member of the Dutch Freedom Party because he wishes to stop the advancement of a tyrannical political ideology that roots itself in religion?

Geert Wilders is trying to retain freedom in Europe while those who hold sway in Dutch Parliament would have those rights whisked away.

I demand that all charges be dropped against Geert Wilders, on behalf of my father and all those Canadians who fought so Holland could be free.
I recommend that the Freedom Party be elected in the next election by all Dutch who do not wish to have a repeat of WWII because if there is a WWIII it will not be pretty and we will not be there to help because we will be fighting the same battles in our own country.

The goal of Islam is to overtake the world with the adoption of its Islamic values based on shari'ah law.
This law is brutal and does not conform with the 21st Century. We are supposed to be advancing forward and not regressing back to the Middle Ages.

Sincerely,

Kim Bruce
A Proud Canadian who values Freedom and Democracy

It is a Travesty that Geert Wilders is being prosecuted for speaking the Truth.

“I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

I also believe that censorship "always defeats its own purpose, for it creates, in the end, the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion".

This trial moves European Democracies one step closer to Extinction.

Wake up before it is too late.

Every person on this earth, except Muslims, are racists and extremists....I have concluded this from the articles of RNW, politicians of Europe, and my own country. Put us on trial...

Care, the liberty of expresion is put in fabric of judgment. Wilders is a racist, but has the right to express what thinks and feels, that is a right that is acquired with the life and nobody has the right to deprive us of her.
