Being a journalist in Pakistan is no easy job. Being a Pashtun journalist, it seems, can put your life at risk.

Ali (not his real name) is a journalist from Karachi. He ignored menacing phone calls for a year, thinking that the threats were not serious. But when his name was found on the hit list of two men who were arrested for allegedly killing one of his colleagues, he fled Pakistan.
