Numerous demonstrations against the result of the Iranian election took place across Europe on Saturday. Thousands of people gathered in Brussels, Berlin and Hamburg but the largest demonstration took place in an exhibition hall near Paris.
Tens of thousands of people attended the event, which was organised by an exiled opposition group. The French-based National Council of Resistance of Iran claims 90,000 people travelled to the rally from all over Europe.
Around 500 Iranians held a wake at the Beurs van Berlage in the centre of Amsterdam on Saturday evening to commemorate the victims of last week's violence in Iran. The wake was organised by a group of Iranian artists in the run-up to a larger demonstration, scheduled for this afternoon, at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
