Coast guards of the Netherlands Antilles have arrested 30 illegal immigrants. They were found on Tuesday in a boat in territorial waters off the coast of Saint Maarten.

Police in the island's capital Philipsburg say the would-be immigrants are all Haitian and claim they were heading for Miami.

The 13 women and 17 men had apparently set off from Grenada. One of the passengers was an 11-year-old girl.
