The UK airline British Airways and its Spanish rival Iberia have concluded a final accord about a merger after an initial agreement was signed in November.
The merger creates Europe's second-largest airline after Air France-KLM and Lufthansa. The new company will fly to 200 different destinations and carry about 58 million passengers a year. The two companies expect the merger will reduce costs by about 400 million euros a year.
